We agree an initial appointment where we focus on your concerns, issues and expectations and discuss how the counselling sessions will work in practice. This is an opportunity for you to find out more, to ask questions about counselling and for us to explore how we might work together. I will also make an assessment to ensure that I can meet your needs and to determine what might be the best approach. It is important that you feel comfortable with me and that you are clear about what you can expect from counselling sessions.
If we decide to continue with counselling, we will agree on how many sessions will be appropriate. Sometimes this will be a short-term approach, a minimum of 6 sessions, but for more deep-rooted issues we would agree a longer term approach. Whatever our agreement, we will review regularly to ensure counselling continues to meet your needs.
Sessions are for 50 minutes.
The introductory session is charged at a reduced rate of £50 and thereafter it is a charge of £65 per session.
Payment is made by BACS transfer prior to the session.
I understand that occasionally appointments may need to be cancelled. So long as you provide a minimum of 48 hours’ notice, no cancellation fee is due. With less than 48 hours’ notice, the full session fee is due.
